Applications invited for legal advisor post for CB-CID units

The State Police have invited applications for the post of legal adviser for the Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID) units.

The Home Department, in a press release, said it had sanctioned five legal adviser posts for the CB-CID units at Kancheepuram, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Tiruchi, and Salem through a Government Order (G.O.) dated December 20, 2024. The legal advisers will be involved in filing petitions before the courts in service matters and criminal cases and also preparing affidavits, counter affidavits, arguments, and appeals. Candidates appointed to the post will get a consolidated pay of ₹50,000 per month.

The application form is available on the Tamil Nadu Police website (www.tnpolice.gov.in). Filled applications must be submitted in person or sent through registered post, marked ‘application for the post of legal adviser’ and addressed to ‘Additional Director General of Police, Crime Branch CID, 220, Pantheon Road, Egmore, Chennai 600008’, on or before February 18.
