Hydrogen paves low-carbon future

     Hydrogen can be used as a fuel and is highly energy-efficient with lower polluting potential. The Government is actively promoting the development of the hydrogen energy industry, with three hydrogen fuel cell street washing vehicles coming into service and the city’s first public hydrogen refuelling station being put into operation.
 
     News.gov.hk spoke to Electrical and Mechanical Services Department engineers who explained the operating principles of hydrogen fuel cell street washing vehicles and highlighted the benefits of using hydrogen energy.
