UK Visas and Immigration, part of the Home Office, has released an updated collection of application forms for people seeking British citizenship, with several forms revised across 2026.
The collection covers a wide range of citizenship routes, including naturalisation, registration as a British national, and applications related to the right of abode in the UK.

British citizenship: What forms are available
The updated collection includes the naturalisation form AN, last revised on July 21, 2026, which is used by those applying to become British citizens through the standard naturalisation route.
Alongside it, form MN1, for registering a child under 18 as a British citizen, was also updated on 21 July 2026.
Several other forms were revised earlier in the year. Forms covering stateless persons, including those born before 1983, those born outside the UK or British Overseas Territories, and UK-born stateless individuals, were all updated on 25 February 2026.
Forms B(OS) and B(OTA), used for registering as a British citizen, carry the same February date.
More recently, form EM for registering as a British citizen was updated on 4 August 2026, while the application to register as a British Overseas Territories citizen and the ARD registration form were both revised on 6 August 2026.
Forms covering children applying to register as British Overseas Territories citizens, British Overseas citizens, or British subjects carry update dates of 7 and 18 August 2026.
British citizenship: Affordability and nationality services
The collection also includes a child citizenship fee waiver request form, last updated on 12 February 2026, for families who may struggle to meet the cost of a citizenship application.
Under nationality services, applicants can find forms to apply for a duplicate citizenship certificate, confirm their British nationality status, or request a review if a citizenship application has been refused.
A form for correcting a registration or naturalisation certificate carries a 4 September 2026 update date, making it one of the most recently revised documents in the collection.
For those seeking to establish their right to live in the UK without being subject to immigration controls, the form ROA for a certificate of entitlement to the right of abode was updated on 25 February 2026.

United Kingdom updates list of employers
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the UK updated its official register of employers licensed to sponsor foreign workers, with the latest version.
